This house used to be Captain's Cooley's house. From the third floor you used to be able to see the Mississip River. This the plaque that hangs in front of the house.
Years ago my dad made a gift of a red plastic bird on a spring. Soon the conversation piece was joined by kitchen witches, chimes, mobiles, etc. The purple, green and gold birds in the first picture are the only ones like that red bird that started it all.

On Christmas I went to visit Shadow and his pals Razzoo, Smudge and Tobasco. All of them had doggy canes in their stockings. Smudge growled at the other dogs when they got too close to his doggy canes. Razoo Shadow Smudge Tobasco
My cousins have quite a sense of humor. Proudly displayed in their den is a "Round Tuit." So now when anyone says "When I get around to it," you'll know what they're talking about.
